Announcing the Opening of Our Maryland Facility

Life Enrichment Counseling Center is pleased to announce the opening of our new facility serving Maryland. The new office, located in Silver Spring, will serve Silver Spring, Bethesda, Rockville, Chevy Chase and surrounding areas.

Therapy sessions will be provided by Helene Diop, MS, LCPC. Ms. Helene Diop is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland. She graduated with a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Southern Adventist University in 2006. She received a National Diploma of Special Education/Social Work from the University of Literature, Social Science and Art of Lille in France in 1983. She is also a PhD Candidate in General Psychology at Capella University.

Ms. Diop is experienced in providing therapy to children, youth and their family in private and public settings. She has helped clients deal with issues of depression and anxiety. Mrs. Diop provided individual, family and couples therapy while working in private, state, and academic settings. Ms. Diop’s specialty area at Life Enrichment Counseling Center, Inc. includes providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. She is also a Licensed Counselor for the Prepare-Enrich Program with a concentration in Premarital and Marital Counseling. She also favors a holistic approach to therapy, with an emphasis on Spiritual, worldview, and lifestyles issues. Ms. Diop is fluent in both English and French.

Welcome Christina Benedi

We are pleased to welcome Christina Benedi, MA, LPC to Life Enrichment Counseling Center. Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at American University in 1992 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Marymount University in 1995. Ms. Benedi completed her graduate internship at the Center for Multicultural Human Services in Falls Church, Virginia, and further completed a Post-Master’s Certificate program in Counseling & Development from George Mason University in 2007.

Ms. Benedi provides individual and group psychotherapy to adults and her clinical areas of interest include Christian counseling, stay at home Moms, self-esteem, body image, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. She also works as a therapist at George Mason University’s Counseling & Psychological Services, providing individual and group counseling to college students on issues including adjustment, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, and AD/HD concerns.

Ms. Benedi is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Spiritual, Ethical, & Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC), Counselors for Social Justice (CSJ), and American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
